At Hydro International, we're passionate about helping our customers better understand and manage water. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an organised and motivated Assistant Project Manager to join our team and support the successful delivery of hydrometric and environmental monitoring projects across the UK.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with project coordination experience, strong organisational skills and an interest in environmental, water or engineering projects. You'll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards, whilst building valuable relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
What You'll Be Doing
As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll support the management and delivery of a wide range of projects, including:
- Coordinating project activities from initiation through to completion
- Monitoring project costs, schedules and performance
- Preparing project reports, proposals and client communications
- Managing project administration and performance reporting
- Reviewing and quality assuring hydrometric and environmental data
- Building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Supporting project profitability and commercial performance
- Working closely with technical, operational and commercial teams to ensure successful delivery
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards

What We're Looking For
We're Keen To Hear From Candidates Who Can Demonstrate
- Experience in project coordination, project management or project delivery
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail
- Experience producing reports and working with data
- Commercial awareness and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Desirable
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Environmental Science, Geography, Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience within the water, environmental, utilities or engineering sectors
- Experience working with hydrometric monitoring data or environmental data
- Proposal writing or bid support experience
