The role
As an Assistant Project Manager Construction, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You'll support the successful delivery of construction, infrastructure and engineering projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards of quality. You'll work closely with project managers, contractors and stakeholders, developing valuable experience that will accelerate your professional growth and open future career opportunities within one of the UK's leading engineering organisations.
Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:
- Supporting project planning, scheduling and progress tracking across multiple construction activities.
- Coordinating contractors and site activities, including inspections, permits and work within live operational environments.
- Monitoring project costs, budgets, contractor payments and key project documentation.
- Assisting with health and safety activities, including toolbox talks, RAMS reviews and CDM compliance.
- Managing project reporting, risk and change registers, while supporting stakeholder engagement and issue resolution.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.

- Experience supporting the delivery of construction, infrastructure or facilities projects.
- Experience working in site-based environments and coordinating contractor activities.
- Understanding of project management principles, including planning, cost control, reporting and risk management.
- Working knowledge of health and safety requirements, including CDM 2015 or similar regulated frameworks.
- Background in an engineering, construction or related technical discipline.
Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager Construction
- HNC or HND in Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
- Degree in Construction, Engineering or a related subject is desirable
- Working towards an Association for Project Management or equivalent project management qualification is desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health and safety certification is desirable
- Relevant industry experience in construction or infrastructure projects is desirable
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
