The Role:
We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of our ambitious Digital Transformation and AI Programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on projects that will modernise services, improve customer experience, reduce bureaucracy and deliver significant benefits for residents and staff. Working as part of the Transformation Team, you'll support a portfolio of digital, data and AI projects, working closely with our Digital and Change Managers to coordinate activities, monitor progress and help ensure successful delivery. You'll gain hands-on experience supporting complex transformation projects while developing your project management career.

What you'll do:
- Support the delivery of digital transformation and AI projects
- Work alongside Digital and Change Managers to coordinate project activities and change initiatives
- Maintain project plans, risk registers, action logs and programme documentation
- Organise meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagement activities
- Prepare reports, presentations and governance papers
- Track project milestones, benefits and savings
- Support communications, training and change activities to help embed new ways of working
What we're looking for:
- Experience of supporting projects or programmes is essential
- Experience working on digital transformation, technology, data, AI or projects would be advantageous
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams
- Experience using Microsoft 365 applications and producing high-quality reports and documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and support the development of practical solutions
