Role Description

The Assistant Project Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in London. This role supports the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing construction projects from inception to completion. Daily tasks include:

The Assistant Project Manager will liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients, help manage logistics and expediting activities, and support inspection processes to ensure quality and compliance. The role also involves monitoring risks, following up on action items, and contributing to timely, cost-effective project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess project management skills, including Project Management experience and familiarity with construction project coordination.
  • Candidates should possess expediting-related skills, such as working as an Expeditor and managing Expediting activities with suppliers and contractors.
  • Candidates should possess inspection and quality-focused skills, including conducting or supporting Inspection activities on construction sites.
  • Candidates should possess logistics management skills, including Logistics Management, scheduling deliveries, and coordinating materials and resources.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field are beneficial.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with project management software, document control tools, and basic MS Office applications is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in construction consulting or on-site project roles in London or similar markets is a plus.
