Assistant Project Manager – Interiors & Workplace
Location: London
Sector: Commercial Interiors, Workplace, Refurbishment & Hospitality
The Opportunity
An opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join a growing London Project Management team delivering commercial interiors, workplace, refurbishment, and hospitality projects. The team works with a strong mix of occupiers, investors, developers, and operators, delivering projects from early design and procurement through to construction and handover.
This role would suit an APM looking for greater project responsibility, direct client exposure, and a clear route to Project Manager level.
The Team & Culture
The team has grown rapidly over the past few years, while maintaining a close-knit and entrepreneurial culture.
Senior leaders remain closely involved in projects and clients, giving junior team members good exposure and the opportunity to learn directly from experienced Project Managers.
The culture is collaborative but gives people autonomy. APMs are encouraged to take ownership, contribute in client meetings, and build relationships rather than remain in a purely supporting role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

About You
You are likely to have some initial Project Management experience within a consultancy, developer, contractor, or related construction/property environment.
Commercial interiors experience would be useful but is not essential. The team is equally interested in candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and potential.
You should be:
- Ambitious and keen to progress
- Proactive and comfortable taking responsibility
- Confident communicating with clients
- Organised and commercially aware
- Interested in interiors, workplace, and refurbishment
- Keen to develop into a well-rounded Project Manager
Progression
The aim is to develop you into an independent, client-facing Project Manager. As your experience grows, you will take greater ownership of projects, build your own client relationships, and progress through the team.
With the team continuing to grow, there is a clear pathway from Assistant Project Manager to Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and beyond.
