Role Description
The Assistant Property Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Letchworth Garden City. This role supports the Property Manager and wider lettings team in coordinating day-to-day management of residential properties, including handling tenant inquiries, organizing viewings, and assisting with check-ins and check-outs.

Responsibilities include:

- Arranging maintenance and repairs
- Liaising with contractors and landlords
- Maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company procedures
- Preparing documentation such as tenancy agreements and inspection reports
- Following up on outstanding issues
- Contributing to smooth renewals and rent reviews
The role involves regular face-to-face and phone contact with clients, tenants, and suppliers, requiring a professional demeanor and a strong focus on service quality.
Qualifications
- Strong property management and customer service skills, including handling tenant queries, coordinating maintenance, and supporting landlords effectively.
- Organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage documentation, maintain accurate records, and prioritize multiple tasks in a busy environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in dealing with clients, tenants, and contractors in a clear, professional manner.
- Basic knowledge of residential lettings processes and property-related regulations, or a strong willingness to learn and apply them.
- Proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) and property or CRM systems, or the ability to quickly learn new tools.
- Reliable, detail-focused, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in an on-site setting.
- Previous experience in property management, estate agency, or a customer-facing role is advantageous but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport would be beneficial for property visits and inspections.
