Role Description

The Assistant Property Manager is a part-time, on-site role based in Abbots Langley. This role supports the day-to-day management of residential and commercial properties, including handling tenant inquiries, coordinating maintenance requests, and assisting with property inspections.   • Supporting compliance with relevant regulations and tenancy agreements

The role also involves providing administrative support to the property management team, helping with correspondence, scheduling appointments, and contributing to smooth, professional operations aligned with the company’s commitment to quality and social impact.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including record-keeping, scheduling, and documentation management.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with tenants, contractors, and colleagues.
  • Basic knowledge of property management processes, tenancy agreements, and building maintenance practices, or willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing) and the ability to learn property management systems.
  • Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset and a customer-focused approach, especially when handling tenant issues and maintenance requests.
  • Previous experience in property management, real estate, housing, or customer service is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Understanding of or interest in social housing and community-focused property initiatives is an advantage.
