Assistant Property Manager
Location: Reading
Job type: Full-time
We’re looking for an Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day management of residential properties and help ensure repairs and maintenance issues are resolved efficiently.
You’ll support a Property Manager and will liaise with residents, contractors, and internal teams, manage work and purchase orders, track repairs, and provide regular updates throughout the process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in property management within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:


Get help with your application

- Act as a key contact for residents and contractors regarding repairs and defects.
- Log, monitor, and progress work orders through to completion.
- Provide clear and timely updates to residents.
- Support repair, maintenance, and property turnaround activities.
- Manage inboxes, correspondence, and overdue works orders.
- Assist with weekly reporting and maintaining accurate records.
- Work closely with internal teams and contribute to improving processes.
Experience Required:
- Previous administrative experience within lettings, property management, or a related sector.
- Basic understanding of common property maintenance and repair issues.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Confident communicator when dealing with residents, contractors, and colleagues.
- Ability to prioritize a busy workload and meet deadlines.
- Positive, resilient, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Comfortable taking ownership and working calmly under pressure.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Empathetic approach to resolving resident queries.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
