Adult ADHD Service
North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT)
Join our growing Adult ADHD Service and play a key role in supporting adults with ADHD through psychologically informed, evidence-based care. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will assist in the delivery of post-diagnostic support, psychological assessments, research, audit activity and service development initiatives, while receiving regular supervision from qualified psychologists.
About The Role
As an Assistant Psychologist, you will:
- Provide psychologically informed and evidence-based support to adults accessing the Adult ADHD
- Assist with psychological and neuropsychological assessments under supervision.
- Support research, audit and service evaluation projects.
- Work collaboratively with clients, families, carers and partner agencies.
- Facilitate psychoeducational and group interventions alongside qualified colleagues.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to high-quality service delivery.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period.
High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,1371 - per annum, pro rata for part time)
High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,346 and a maximum payment of £2,270 per annum, pro rata for part time)

When calculating the basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High-Cost Area Supplement) is not included to ensure fairness and consistency within our Trust.
