About The Organisation

The Role

The post holder will contribute psychological expertise to support behaviour change and wellbeing within the Obesity Pathway Innovation Programme (OPIP) for Adults. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, they will contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of psychologically informed assessments, interventions and resources that support adults accessing weight management and obesity services.

The post holder will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative, evidence-based approaches that support behaviour change, emotional wellbeing and engagement in treatment. They will work collaboratively with clinical colleagues and partner agencies to improve physical and mental health outcomes for adults living with obesity and related health conditions.

The role will support the implementation of psychologically informed practice across OPIP services and contribute to service improvement, evaluation and quality assurance activities.

In This Key Role, You Will

  • Support the development, implementation and evaluation of innovation and service transformation projects within the Obesity Pathway Innovation Programme (OPIP).
  • Contribute psychological and behavioural science expertise to the development of evidence-based services, pathways, digital solutions and models of care.
  • Work collaboratively with OPIP Clinical Leads, Transformation Leads, multidisciplinary teams, strategic partners and stakeholders to support programme delivery.
  • Support service redesign, quality improvement and the implementation of psychologically informed practice across OPIP workstreams.
  • Undertake evidence reviews, data collection, analysis and evaluation activities to inform project development and decision-making.

What You'll Bring

The Post-holder is required to have at least an Upper Second Class Honours degree in Psychology.

  • They must be eligible for the Graduate Basis for Chartership of the British Psychological Society (GBC)
  • They must hold a driving licence and have access to transport.
  • They must have a high level of computer skills and knowledge of programmes and statistical packages.
  • The post-holder should have had experience of relevant paid/voluntary work.
  • A driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
