The central work of Public Affairs is to build strategic relationships with opinion leaders who affect the reputation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and whose actions and influence can help or hinder the Church's mission.

Responsibilities
- Assists in building and maintaining relationships with opinion leaders in government, media, business, education, interfaith organizations, community groups, and other key sectors.
- Serves as the primary manager of Newsroom Philippines and supports the development and dissemination of communication materials that promote understanding of the Church, its beliefs, values, humanitarian efforts, temples, and family-centered initiatives.
- Assists in planning, coordinating, and implementing Public Affairs programs, stakeholder engagement efforts, communication projects, media activities, leadership visits, special events, and training initiatives.
- Supports the Public Affairs Manager in gathering information, monitoring issues and trends, preparing reports and recommendations, and strengthening the Church's reputation and relationships throughout the Philippines Area.
