Job Role
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Quality Manager to join our team in Ashford, Kent. Reporting to the Quality Manager, this role is critical in maintaining our Quality Management System and ensuring the highest standards of quality across all operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Quality Assurance staff and Technical Administrator.
- Serve as the main point of contact for quality matters internally and with external partners.
- Maintain the company's Quality Management System, including handling corrective and preventive actions, deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints.
- Oversee documentation control, including SOPs, manufacturing records, and quality records.
- Work with the Quality Assurance Officer on hygiene, GMP, and internal audit programs.
- Assist in maintaining the supplier assurance program and review of quality records for stock assessment.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Technologist for quality audits of production operations.
- Ensure staff training in GMP and allergen management.
- Handle other duties as required by management.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within the food supplement or pharmaceutical industry. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential. A GCSE or equivalent qualification is preferred.
