Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Portsmouth
Location: Portsmouth
Project: Healthcare Project
Duration: Approx. 2 years
Salary: Up to £42,000 + package
Pace Recruitment are working with an established contractor who are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a £7m healthcare project in Portsmouth.
Reporting to the Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Director, you will support the commercial management of the project, including procurement, subcontractor management, valuations, variations, cost control, and commercial reporting.

The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or within a commercial construction role
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline desirable
- Understanding of construction drawings, procurement, and subcontract management
- Knowledge of JCT contracts desirable
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Good numerical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ambitious, proactive, and keen to develop
