The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your commercial career within SES Engineering Services, supporting the delivery of complex mechanical and electrical projects. Working alongside experienced commercial and project colleagues, you will gain exposure across the full project lifecycle while helping to maximise value, control costs and manage commercial risk. You will be encouraged to ask questions, contribute ideas and take increasing ownership as your knowledge and experience grow.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support the delivery of project commercial strategies across the pre-contract and post-contract lifecycle.
- Assist with procurement activities, including tender enquiries, scope validation, reconciliations and bid analysis.
- Support the procurement and commercial management of subcontractors in line with programme and cost requirements.
- Assist with subcontractor valuations, variations, claims and final accounts.
- Support the management of client accounts, including measurement, change control, cash collection and final account preparation.
- Maintain accurate commercial records and help ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Work collaboratively with commercial, planning and project teams to identify and manage risks, opportunities and potential delays.
- Contribute to commercial reporting, process improvements and strong working relationships with clients, site teams and the supply chain.

What You Will Bring
- A relevant Quantity Surveying or similar qualification at Level 5 or above, or current study towards a relevant degree.
- A developing understanding of procurement, tendering and standard forms of contract, such as NEC or JCT.
- An understanding of basic cost control, forecasting, measurement and value management, ideally within an MEP environment.
- The ability to build effective working relationships, communicate clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues and project stakeholders.
- A curious and accountable approach, with a desire to learn, improve and take ownership of your development.
