We’re Hiring: Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator
📍 Norfolk | Full-time | Salary negotiable depending on experience
At Grocott & Murfit Ltd, we’re looking for a degree-qualified Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our growing team.
We specialise in high-end residential construction across Norfolk and surrounding areas, delivering everything from complex renovations and extensions through to large new-build homes and an increasing number of design & build projects.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants real exposure across the full commercial process - not just take-offs. You’ll work closely with our Senior Estimator and Commercial Director, gaining hands-on experience across both pre-construction and live project delivery.

What you’ll be involved in:
- Assisting with tenders, take-offs and pricing
- Obtaining and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Supporting procurement and subcontractor appointments
- Assisting with valuations, variations and cost reporting
- Monitoring project costs against budgets
- Working closely with site and project teams throughout delivery
- Supporting the commercial management of live projects
- Building strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and consultants
About you:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
- Either a recent graduate or already working in an Assistant QS / Estimator role
- Commercially minded, organised, and confident communicating with people
- Eager to learn, develop, and take on increasing responsibility
