The Role
The role of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor Groundworks & Civils will involve:
- Assistant Quantity Surveyor position dealing with a range of Groundworks & Civils projects, including infrastructure, surfacing and earthworks
- Whilst predominantly an office based position they will be a requirement to visit sites across the East Midlands
- Assist with procurement of subcontract packages
- Measure works and prepare valuations
- Process subcontractor payments
- Assist with cost reporting and CVRs
- Manage variations and compensation events
- Attend site and commercial meetings
- Support the QS with final accounts
- Help maintain project budgets and forecasts

Requirements
The ideal applicant will be an Assistant Quantity Surveyor Groundworks & Civils with:
- Must have Quantity Surveying experience within the construction sector
- Highly advantageous to have experience across the civils, infrastructure, groundworks or closely related sector
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all levels
- Confident and articulate
- IT literate in Microsoft Office
- Full UK driving license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
