The Role

The role of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor Groundworks & Civils will involve:

  • Assistant Quantity Surveyor position dealing with a range of Groundworks & Civils projects, including infrastructure, surfacing and earthworks
  • Whilst predominantly an office based position they will be a requirement to visit sites across the East Midlands
  • Assist with procurement of subcontract packages
  • Measure works and prepare valuations
  • Process subcontractor payments
  • Assist with cost reporting and CVRs
  • Manage variations and compensation events
  • Attend site and commercial meetings
  • Support the QS with final accounts
  • Help maintain project budgets and forecasts

Requirements

The ideal applicant will be an Assistant Quantity Surveyor Groundworks & Civils with:

  • Must have Quantity Surveying experience within the construction sector
  • Highly advantageous to have experience across the civils, infrastructure, groundworks or closely related sector
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal across all levels
  • Confident and articulate
  • IT literate in Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
