Following further growth across the group, we are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic commercial team in Elland, West Yorkshire. This role is essential in supporting our projects by assisting in cost management, procurement, and contract administration.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes and managing supplier relationships.
  • Preparation and analysis of tender documents.
  • Monitor project costs and assist in financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and gather information for reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of contract documents and manage contract administration.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project costs and contracts.

What We Are Looking For

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail
  • Willing to travel as and when required
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
