Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Consultancy Construction
Location: West London
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Are you a Quantity Surveying graduate looking to take the next step in your career with a specialist cost consultancy working on some of the most prestigious high-end residential projects in London? My client is an established and highly regarded cost consultancy based in West London, specialising in the delivery of exceptional high-end residential developments and private homes. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or early-career Quantity Surveyor to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals and develop their career within a specialist consultancy environment.
The Role
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the wider cost management team across a range of high-value residential projects. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical and commercial skills while gaining exposure to all stages of the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with cost planning and cost reporting
- Supporting the preparation of bills of quantities and pricing documents
- Assisting with tender documentation and procurement processes
- Reviewing and analysing contractor tenders
- Supporting the preparation and management of valuations and variations
- Assisting with cost control and forecasting
- Working closely with clients, contractors, architects, and project teams
- Supporting senior Quantity Surveyors with the delivery of high-end residential projects

About You
The ideal candidate will be a Quantity Surveying graduate who is keen to build a long-term career within a specialist cost consultancy. You will ideally have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related RICS-accredited subject
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in Quantity Surveying and cost consultancy
- Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- The ambition to develop professionally and work towards chartership
- Previous placement or internship experience within Quantity Surveying or construction consultancy is advantageous, but not essential
