Sphere Solutions are working with an established construction business to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support a Senior QS on a large residential development in Plymouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Junior QS looking to develop their commercial experience, gain exposure to a major housing scheme and progress their career within an established business.
Initially offered on a temporary basis for the first month, the intention is to move to a permanent position for the right candidate.
The Role
- Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor with the commercial management of a large-scale residential development.
- Assisting with the management of infrastructure and groundworks packages.
- Supporting cost control, valuations and subcontractor management.
- Gaining hands-on experience across a range of commercial activities.
- Working closely with the Senior QS to develop your skills and take on increased responsibility.

About You
- Experience in an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Junior QS or similar commercial role.
- An interest in residential construction, infrastructure or groundworks.
- Keen to learn, develop and progress within a commercial team.
- A proactive approach with good communication and organisational skills.
