Assistant Relationship Manager – Private Banking

West End, London | 12-Month FTC | Hybrid | Up to £75,000

A leading international private bank is looking to appoint an Assistant Relationship Manager to join its Wealth Management team in the West End of London on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced private banking professional or client-facing banking specialist to work closely with Relationship Managers, high-net-worth clients, and their advisers, providing a high level of service while supporting the ongoing development and administration of client relationships.

The role will suit someone who is commercially aware, highly organised, and confident dealing with sophisticated private clients and multiple stakeholders.

The Role

As Assistant Relationship Manager, you will support the day-to-day management of a portfolio of private banking clients, working closely with Relationship Managers and other internal teams to ensure clients receive a seamless and responsive service.

You will play an important role in managing client requirements, coordinating account activity, supporting transactions, and ensuring that all client-related activity is handled efficiently, accurately, and in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with private banking clients, Relationship Managers, and client advisers.
  • Manage day-to-day correspondence with clients and their representatives.
  • Support Relationship Managers with the ongoing management of client relationships.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively, balancing immediate client requirements with longer-term projects.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting client and internal deadlines.
  • Handle data and information requests from clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with cash management and client account administration.
  • Support the execution and settlement of client orders across FX, cash, equities, fixed income, and other products.
  • Prepare for and, where appropriate, attend client meetings.
  • Support the client account opening process from inception through to completion, including KYC and AML requirements.
  • Assist with event-driven and periodic client reviews.
  • Prepare credit requests and assist with the administration of credit facilities.
  • Liaise with other branches and internal stakeholders regarding referred client relationships.
  • Manage documentation relating to IFAs and other client representatives.
  • Keep Relationship Managers fully up to date with relevant client information and outstanding actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute ideas to enhance the team's effectiveness.
  • Ensure all activity is conducted in accordance with the Bank's policies, procedures, and applicable FCA and PRA requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
