We're delivering some of the UK's most complex and nationally significant Defence programmes.
We're looking for an organised and proactive Assistant Resource Manager to join our Defence team in London, supporting the successful mobilisation, deployment and management of talent across major projects and bids.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships and coordinating multiple activities in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in ensuring projects have access to the right skills at the right time, supporting everything from resource planning and recruitment coordination through to onboarding, compliance and workforce deployment.
This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work from home alongside regular collaboration with colleagues across our offices and project locations.
Due to the nature of our Defence programmes, Security Clearance (SC) is essential, or candidates must be eligible and willing to obtain SC clearance.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Supporting the recruitment, selection and onboarding of people with the appropriate skills, experience and behaviours aligned to project requirements.
- Maintaining and updates recruitment trackers and candidate records.
- Supporting the identification of internal talent and promotes internal career mobility.
- Supporting prospects and bidding activity by identifying internal candidates.
- Supporting Hiring Managers through the full recruitment and onboarding process.
- Ensuring adherence with compliance requirements for all candidates and approvals to hire.
- Liaising with security teams, as well as other functions where required to enable efficient resource deployment and timely transition.
- Supporting commercial team with resource forecasting, monthly application for payment and expenses.
- Building relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:
- Previous experience within resource management, workforce planning, recruitment coordination, project support or a similar role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with stakeholders across different levels of an organisation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- High attention to detail and strong administrative capability.
- Experience maintaining trackers, records and management information.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Understanding of recruitment, onboarding or workforce planning processes.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
