Led by owner and host Jam, the restaurant features a carefully curated wine list of over 120 bottles designed to complement rich spice and smoky flavors. Guests can enjoy elegant yet relaxed dining for business lunches, celebrations, and long dinners, as well as private dining for groups and full venue hire for larger events. Chatora City also provides corporate and private catering across London and focuses on delivering an experience where every dish and every guest receives thoughtful attention.
Role Description
The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Chatora City in the City of London. This position supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth service during lunch and dinner shifts. Responsibilities include:

- Supervising staff on the floor
- Coordinating table allocations and reservations
- Maintaining high standards of guest experience and service quality
- Assisting with staff scheduling
- Training new team members

The role also involves:
- Helping to monitor food and beverage presentation
- Addressing guest feedback in real-time
- Supporting events such as private dining and full venue hires
- Administrative tasks such as basic reporting, stock checks, and collaborating with the leadership team on operational improvements
Qualifications
- Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service, with the ability to create a welcoming, attentive dining experience
- Experience with hiring and onboarding front-of-house staff, including training and performance guidance
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with guests, team members, and kitchen staff
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage service standards, including menu familiarity, wine pairing awareness, and presentation expectations
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality supervision or management, ideally in a premium or high-volume setting
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and comfort in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Right to work in the UK; hospitality or management-related education or training is an advantage
