PERMANENT POSITION
Salary Up To £33,165.30 Depending On Experience
40 Hours per week (shift work including mornings, evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, with no split shifts. Duty Manager shifts on a rotational basis)
About Phyllis Court Club
Phyllis Court is a private members club situated in a grand riverside manor, set in 18 acres of land with 17 guest bedrooms on the River Thames in Henley-On-Thames and spectacular views over the river & the countryside beyond.
Phyllis Court has excellent facilities, superb cuisines and wines, relaxing riverside accommodation and friendly staff being the perfect setting to meet friends & colleagues, with the highlight of the year being Henley Regatta. We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and respectful environment for both members and staff, with teamwork and high standards at the heart of everything we do.
The Role
As a natural and positive leader you will be able to train and support the team of Food and Beverage Supervisors and Assistants. You will have excellent knowledge of food and beverage and be able to recommend wines that will pair with our excellent menus to ensure that all Members and Guests of Phyllis Court Club have a positive and memorable experience.

- Leading the team to deliver an exceptional experience to our Members and Guests and to ensure the highest levels of service.
- Oversee and lead food and beverage events, and other day-to-day operations, within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards.
- Monitor all restaurant sales ensuring Members and Guests are receiving prompt and accurate service in accordance with Club standards and correct charging.
- Identify both team member and Member needs and respond proactively to all their concerns in line with Club policies and standard operating procedures.
- Ensure that all food and beverage assistants are tasked in line with the needs of the business.
- Ensure billing is done correctly and in accordance with company policy. Be available for any queries as regards guest issues.
- Complete rotas on a monthly basis.
Skills And Experience
- Experience in a similar role would be beneficial
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Highly organised approach to work, including ability to prioritise in a busy environment, successfully negotiate any conflict and delegate upwards when required.
- Ability to train team members to quality service standards.
- Competent user of Microsoft office suite & software or technical confidence with similar software.
