Location: Knowsley Metropolitan Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, Hybrid Working

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Full Time

Hours: 36 hours per week.

We currently have a position available within our Revenues team and are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Revenues & Benefits Officer to support our Council Tax and Business Rates teams.

You will support the day-to-day delivery of the Revenues service. This will include processing customer accounts, update records and helping ensure information is accurate and up to date. You will deal with customer enquiries, provide clear advice and resolve queries where possible. You will also assist with awarding discounts, reliefs and exemptions, as well as supporting recovery processes.

So, who are we looking for?

You will have experience working in an administrative or customer service environment and be confident dealing with a range of customer enquiries. You'll understand the importance of providing a good customer experience and be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbally.

You'll be organised, able to manage your workload and work both as part of a team and on your own initiative, with a flexible approach to teamwork and supporting colleagues. A positive attitude and willingness to learn is key.

Previous experience in Revenues is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
