We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Site Manager to join an established housebuilder on a 150-unit residential development in Yorkshire.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Site Manager to work alongside an experienced Site Manager and wider construction team, taking responsibility for key areas of the build while developing your site management experience.

The role offers a strong platform for training, professional development and career progression, with the opportunity to gain greater responsibility and exposure across the full site management process.

The Role

  • Assist with the supervision and coordination of subcontractors, trades and site activities.
  • Help coordinate works in line with the construction programme and build schedule.
  • Monitor progress, identify potential delays and help implement solutions to keep works on programme.
  • Carry out regular quality inspections, ensuring work is completed to the required standards.
  • Ensure site activities are carried out in line with health, safety and company procedures.
  • Work closely with the Site Manager, Contracts Manager and Technical team to resolve construction and technical issues.
  • Check materials, workmanship and completed works to ensure they meet drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
  • Assist with inductions, toolbox talks, site inspections and general site documentation.
  • Maintain accurate site records and support progress reporting, snagging and handover activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
