Assistant Site Manager
At Places Developments, we do more than build homes. We create communities where people can thrive, and we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Assistant Site Manager to support the successful delivery of one of our developments.
Working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team, you'll help coordinate day-to-day activity on site, ensuring work progresses safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to develop your site management experience while playing an important part in delivering homes that our customers can be proud of.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day management of construction activity, ensuring work is delivered in line with the agreed programme, budget and quality standards.
- Promoting safe working practices across the development and helping to maintain a positive, professional site culture.
- Monitoring quality throughout each stage of the build and ensuring the required Build Stage Inspection processes are followed.
- Carrying out health and safety inductions for contractors and visitors to the site.
- Planning and coordinating work packages, site activities and logistics to help minimise health, safety and environmental risks.
- Working with contractors, suppliers, the NHBC and other key stakeholders to keep activity progressing and deadlines on track.
- Deputising for the Site Manager when required and helping to maintain effective site management and discipline.
- Liaising with new homeowners and coordinating the timely completion of any snagging work.
What We're Looking For
You'll be a proactive and organised individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys working as part of a busy site team. You'll be comfortable coordinating different activities, communicating with a range of stakeholders and taking ownership of tasks to keep the development moving forward.
You'll also have:
- A positive, solutions-focused approach and a strong commitment to health and safety.
- CSCS supervisor accreditation
- A full, clean UK driving licence.
- A valid SMSTS qualification.
- A valid First Aid certificate.
- A Scaffold Inspection qualification.
- Good IT and communication skills.
- Knowledge of NHBC standards and building control requirements.
- Previous experience within housebuilding or residential construction.
