Assistant Site Manager, Surrey – New Residential Housing Project

Role Purpose

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the construction site. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, your primary objective will be to support the delivery of the project on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the developer’s esteemed reputation and achieving project milestones. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day management of the site
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Monitor project progress and report to the Project Manager
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
  • Manage site documentation and records
  • Resolve any on-site issues promptly
  • Support in the preparation of site reports
  • Facilitate communication between all stakeholders
  • Ensure the site is kept tidy and organised

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Site Manager within the UK residential construction industry
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current First Aid, SMSTS, and CSCS certifications
