A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join the team on a new build school project. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a prestigious education scheme, supporting the Site Manager through a key phase of the build.

The Role
You will assist with the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards. The project is currently progressing through:
- Building envelope
- Groundworks
- Internal fit-out

Responsibilities
- Supporting the Site Manager with daily site operations.
- Coordinating subcontractors and monitoring progress.
- Carrying out quality inspections and snagging.
- Ensuring health & safety standards are maintained.
- Assisting with site documentation, inductions and permits.
- Monitoring programme and reporting progress.
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider project team.
Requirements
- SMSTS (essential)
- First Aid at Work (preferred)
- CSCS Card
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager on new build construction projects.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or recognised Main Contractor.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced site environment.
