We are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join a major UK house builder on a temporary basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Site Manager with a strong residential background to join an established site team and play a key role in delivering a high-quality housing development safely, efficiently and to programme.

The Role

Working closely with the Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of the development, ensuring construction activities are delivered to the required standards and programme.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the development.
  • Supervising and coordinating subcontractors and site teams.
  • Monitoring progress against the build programme.
  • Ensuring high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance are maintained.
  • Carrying out regular quality inspections and ensuring homes are built to the required standards.
  • Coordinating materials, labour and plant to maintain progress.
  • Identifying and resolving construction issues as they arise.
  • Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the wider site team.
  • Maintaining accurate site records and construction documentation.
  • Assisting with snagging, completion and handover of properties.
  • Ensuring the site is kept safe, clean and well organised.
  • Providing regular updates to the Site Manager on progress and any issues affecting the programme.

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within residential house building.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site activities.
  • A keen eye for quality and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a busy site team.
  • A proactive, reliable and professional approach.
  • CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid qualifications
