Assistant Site Manager
Location: Cambridgeshire / Essex Border
Project: 60-Unit High Specification Residential Development
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000, £5k car allowance + package
The Opportunity
We are seeking an ambitious and driven Assistant Site Manager to join our team on an exciting 60-unit high-specification residential development located on the Cambridgeshire/Essex border.
Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a premium housing scheme to the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to further develop their career with a respected residential developer or contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day running of the development.
- Assist in delivering the project safely, on programme, and within budget.
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers on site.
- Monitor build quality and ensure works are completed in line with company standards and NHBC requirements.
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections and maintain site compliance.
- Assist with short-term programming and work sequencing.
- Manage snagging and quality control processes.
- Support the completion and handover of homes to customers.
- Maintain accurate site records and reports.
- Promote a positive site culture focused on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Requirements
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Finishing Foreman, Site Supervisor, or similar within residential construction.
- Experience working on new-build housing developments.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and residential construction methods.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders.
- Proactive, professional, and quality-focused approach.

Essential Qualifications
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- CSCS Card
- First Aid at Work
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- NHBC awareness and experience.
- Timber frame and traditional build experience.
- Experience delivering high-specification residential developments.
