ASSISTANT SITE MANAGER – RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT

Uplands, Woolley Bridge, Hadfield, Glossop, Derbyshire

Richard Lloyd Developments Ltd is looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to join our team on an established residential development in the Glossop/Hadfield area. This is a hands-on role working alongside our Site Manager and Directors to help manage the day to day delivery of a high quality residential scheme.

The role will include:

  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of the construction site
  • Coordinating subcontractors, trades, and deliveries
  • Monitoring quality of workmanship and progress against programme
  • Carrying out inspections, snagging, and ensuring works are completed to the required standard
  • Assisting with Health & Safety compliance and site records
  • Liaising with Building Control, warranty inspectors, and consultants where required
  • Helping drive plots through the final stages of construction to completion and handover
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and professionally managed site

About you

We are looking for someone with residential construction experience who is practical, organised, and confident dealing with subcontractors and trades.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or similar role
  • Good knowledge of residential construction
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of workmanship
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to solving problems
  • Appropriate site qualifications, ideally including SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, and First Aid

This could also be an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson or supervisor who is ready to make the next step into site management. You will be joining an experienced, approachable team with the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as you develop within the role.

Salary: Competitive and dependent upon experience

Location: Glossop / Hadfield, Derbyshire
