Assistant Site Manager – Internals / Fit Out
North London
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Bonus + Healthcare + 25 Days Holiday
A leading UK residential developer is looking to appoint an Assistant Site Manager to join a major residential regeneration scheme in North London.
This is a permanent opportunity to support the delivery of all internal fit-out works across a multi-block development. Reporting to the Senior Site Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day management of internal packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest quality standards.
The development comprises multiple residential blocks, offering an excellent opportunity to join an established project team and gain experience on a significant residential scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Senior Site Manager with the day-to-day delivery of all internal fit-out works.
- Coordinating subcontractors across first and second fix, drylining, plastering, kitchens, bathrooms, joinery, decorating and final finishes.
- Monitoring quality, programme and health and safety across all internal work packages.
- Carrying out regular inspections and ensuring works meet the required specifications and quality standards.
- Managing snagging, defect resolution and the close-out of outstanding works.
- Coordinating trade sequencing to maintain progress and avoid clashes between subcontractors.
- Attending subcontractor meetings and reporting on progress, delays and potential issues.
- Maintaining accurate site records and supporting inspections, handovers and completion milestones.

Requirements:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor on residential construction projects.
- Experience overseeing internal fit-out works, ideally on multi-unit residential or RC frame developments.
- Good subcontractor management, organisational and communication skills.
- SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid certificates.
- A proactive approach with a strong focus on quality, health and safety, and programme delivery.
- The ability to coordinate multiple trades and help drive works through to completion.
