We have been built on the pillars of authenticity, integrity, provenance and character and embed this into everything we do from our people through to the products we create, that our customers love.
Job Description
M.J. Bale is opening its first UK store on Jermyn Street, and we’re looking for an Assistant Store Business Manager to help get it off the ground.
We’re an Australian menswear brand known for quality tailoring, natural fibres and genuinely good service. We’ve built a loyal following in Australia, and now we’re bringing what we do to one of the best-known menswear destinations in the world.
This is a great opportunity for someone who knows premium retail, enjoys leading from the shop floor and wants to be involved in building something from the beginning.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
