Assistant Store Manager - Vision Express Glasgow Fort

Are you passionate about developing people, delivering great customer experiences and taking the next step in your career? We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join Vision Express Glasgow Fort and support the Store Manager in leading a successful, customer-focused team.

This opportunity would suit someone with optical experience who is keen to develop their career. We're also open to candidates from retail or hospitality leadership backgrounds who are looking to build a long-term career in optics.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching and developing colleagues
  • Drive sales performance through effective KPI management
  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and service standards
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and colleague engagement activities
  • Complete administrative tasks and confidently use store systems
  • Maintain operational and compliance standards
  • Take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence

What We're Looking For

  • Experience as a Supervisor, Team Leader, Deputy Manager or Assistant Store Manager
  • Optical experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills
  • Comfortable with administration and using store systems
  • Commercial awareness and a customer-first mindset
  • A passion for developing people and delivering results
