Assistant Store Manager - Vision Express Huntingdon Tesco
Looking for your next retail leadership opportunity? Join Vision Express Huntingdon Tesco as an Assistant Store Manager and help lead a successful optical retail team focused on delivering outstanding customer and patient experiences.
Working alongside our Joint Venture Partners, you'll support a team that includes a resident Optometrist, two Pre-Registration Optometrists, and five Optical Assistants. This Assistant Store Manager role is ideal for someone with strong retail sales experience and proven supervisory or leadership skills who enjoys developing people and driving commercial performance.
As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll lead from the shop floor, coach colleagues to achieve their potential, and support the delivery of store KPIs. You'll play an important role in creating a positive team culture while ensuring every customer receives exceptional service.

What You'll Do
- Support the Joint Venture Partners with the day-to-day running of the store
- Lead, coach, and develop colleagues through regular 1:1s and development conversations
- Support performance management and colleague engagement activities
- Drive sales through effective KPI management and customer-focused selling
- Deliver outstanding customer service and patient care
- Maintain high standards of operational compliance and store standards
- Lead the store when required and act as a role model for the team
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisor, team leader, or management experience in a retail environment
- Strong sales skills and a passion for customer service
- Experience coaching, motivating, and developing colleagues
- Confidence supporting performance improvement conversations
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of retail KPIs
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style
