Deputy Store Manager - Zara Brent Cross, Greater London

We are currently looking for a Deputy Store Manager to join our team at Zara Brent Cross, Greater London.
About the Role
As Deputy Store Manager, you'll support the General Manager in leading a high-performing store that delivers outstanding customer experiences and strong commercial results. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll spend time on the shop floor, supporting teams, driving performance and ensuring the store operates efficiently every day. You'll play a key role in creating an engaging environment for both customers and colleagues, while helping to develop future talent within the business. When required, you'll confidently step up to lead the store, ensuring standards, performance and customer service remain at their best.
What You'll Be Doing
Commercial Performance & Store Leadership
- Support the General Manager in delivering sales and performance targets through clear priorities and strong floor leadership.
- Use KPIs, store reports and daily trading information to identify opportunities and take action quickly.
- Ensure commercial initiatives and launches are executed effectively and on time.
- Drive customer-focused decision-making that enhances the overall store experience.
- Lead by example, maintaining energy, focus and visibility on the shop floor.

Visual Merchandising & Customer Experience
- Bring Zara's brand identity to life through exceptional visual standards and strong merchandising execution.
- Ensure collections are presented in line with customer demand, bestselling products and current trends.
- Maintain a customer-first culture where service is proactive, welcoming and efficient.
- Respond quickly to changing trading priorities and customer needs.
Operations & Standards
- Support efficient stock flow, replenishment and stockroom organisation to maximise product availability.
- Maintain high standards across operational processes, including stock management, security and shrinkage controls.
- Ensure compliance with cash handling procedures, health and safety standards, cleanliness and store maintenance routines.
- Support productivity planning and operational efficiency across all areas of the business.
People Leadership & Development
- Coach, motivate and develop colleagues through regular feedback and ongoing support.
- Create an inclusive and positive team environment where everyone can perform at their best.
- Support recruitment activities and help deliver a welcoming onboarding experience for new starters.
- Identify talent and contribute to succession planning and development opportunities.
- Support workforce planning, rota management and hours budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an inspirational and commercially minded retail leader who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment and is passionate about developing people. You'll bring:
- Previous experience in management or leadership role within a fast-paced retail environment.
- Strong commercial awareness with the confidence to make decisions and drive results.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage and develop teams.
- A calm and resilient approach when working under pressure.
- Strong operational knowledge, including stock management, compliance, cash handling and loss prevention.
- A passion for fashion and trend awareness with the ability to translate insight into action.
- A commitment to inclusive leadership that values diversity and supports colleague development.
- A strong sense of accountability, integrity and ownership.
