About The Role
The Assistant Store Manager position in High Wycombe, offered by Pertemps Heathrow & Hemel Hempstead on behalf of a storage firm, is a full-time, permanent placement paying £28,980 annually. Weekly shifts alternate between 7:45am–4:15pm and 9:45am–6:15pm, with one weekend per month required. This hands-on role suits someone keen to develop leadership skills while handling customer interactions directly. Duties involve speaking with clients in person and over the phone, delivering high-quality service, and promoting extras like packaging supplies or additional space. Shift Pattern: Weekly alternating shifts:

- Sunday: 9:15am–4:15pm

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a storage company for an Assistant Manager to join their busy and friendly team based in High Wycombe.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, is hands-on and wants to build their experience in a management role while providing great customer service.
Responsibilities
- Speaking to customers both over the phone and face-to-face, providing excellent customer service.
- Upselling add-ons and extras to existing customers, including packaging materials and additional storage space.
- Supporting the manager with smooth day to day running of the site.
- Ensuring communal areas are kept tidy, clean and presentable for customers.
- Assisting with the opening and closing of the site.
- Processing new customer bookings, payments and account changes.
- Conducting site tours and explaining storage options and services to prospective customers.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and completing relevant admin duties.
- Building strong relationships with customers and encouraging repeat business.
- Providing general support to the Manager and wider team as required.
- Half yearly bonus when targets and KPI's are met.

About You
- Customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
- Confident with upselling and identifying sales opportunities.
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks.
- Reliable, professional and well presented.
- Comfortable working as part of a team while also using your own initiative.
- Flexible to work the required shift pattern and one weekend per month.
