Job Purpose
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving sales, and leading a high-performing team. The ideal candidate combines leadership, retail operations expertise, and a genuine interest in fragrance to inspire both staff and customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Assist the Store Manager in daily store operations and brand standards.
- Lead, coach, and develop sales associates to achieve individual and store overall goals.
- Schedule staffing to ensure optimal coverage and peak business periods.
- Foster a positive team culture, escalate performance issues, and recognize top performers.
- Conduct regular team briefings, trainings, and product knowledge sessions.

Sales & Customer Experience
- Champion a customer-centric approach, delivering personalized fragrance experience and recommendations.
- Drive sales through effective product demonstrations, scent pairing, and cross-selling/up-selling strategies.
- Resolve escalated guest concerns with empathy and timely follow-through.
- Maintain consistent brand messaging and merchandising standards across the floor.
Merchandising & Inventory
- Execute visual merchandising standards to create a premium in-store experience.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate receiving, stock transfers, and back-of-house organization.
- Support seasonal launches, promotions, and fragrance launches with compelling displays.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
Operations & Administration
- Assist with opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and POS accuracy.
- Ensure store maintenance, cleanliness, and safety compliance at all times.
- Prepare and analyze daily/weekly sales reports and KPI tracking (e.g., conversion rate, average transaction value, retention rates).
- Assist with scheduling, payroll, and HR-related tasks as needed.
Brand & Vendor Relations

- Maintain strong knowledge of fragrance notes, brands, and trends.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and brand representatives for events, samples, and promotions.
- Assist with events, in-store activations, and private shopping appointments.
Compliance & Standards
- Uphold company policies, privacy laws, and health & safety regulations.
- Ensure accurate pricing, ticketing, and promotions in line with brand guidelines.
- Protect company assets and minimize loss (shrink) through vigilant controls.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of retail experience, preferably in beauty/fragrance or luxury retail.
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a retail environment.
- Excellent guest service and relationship-building skills.
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic retail math, POS system proficiency, and familiarity with inventory processes.
- Knowledge of fragrance notes, brands, and fragrance culture is a plus.
