Assistant Store Manager
Bluewater | Up to £35,000 + Quarterly Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Are you an experienced Assistant Store Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused retail environment?
We're recruiting for a premium retail brand looking for a talented Assistant Store Manager to support the leadership of a high-performing store in Bluewater. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Assistant Store Manager who is passionate about people development, commercial success, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
As Assistant Store Manager, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to lead, coach, and develop the team, drive sales performance, and create a culture where customers receive outstanding service every time they visit.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend your time on the shop floor inspiring your team, driving commercial performance, and helping colleagues achieve their full potential.
What you'll be doing
- Supporting the Store Manager in leading and developing a high-performing retail team
- Coaching, motivating, and developing colleagues to exceed sales and KPI targets
- Driving commercial performance through exceptional customer service and engagement
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales through promotions, events, outreach activity, and customer relationships
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members
- Creating a positive and engaging culture that encourages high performance
- Analyzing sales, trading, and conversion data to identify opportunities for improvement
- Supporting cost control, payroll management, and stock management activities
- Championing visual merchandising standards and ensuring a premium shopping environment
- Acting as a role model on the shop floor and leading by example

What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager, Deputy Manager, or Retail Manager
- Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Proven success in driving sales and KPI performance
- Experience working within a premium, fashion, lifestyle, beauty, or service-led retail environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercial awareness and the ability to make confident decisions
- An ambitious and proactive approach with a desire to progress your retail career
