Role Overview

Our client is a one-stop wellness brand. They're looking for a Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving commercial performance, and ensuring operational excellence.

As a key holder, this role carries responsibility for opening and closing the store and supporting the team during trading hours.

Their flagship store is based in Westfields, White City.

Salary: 40K plus up to 5K commission

Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Brand Ambassadorship

  • Deliver an outstanding, warm, and educational customer experience at all times
  • Act as a true brand ambassador, confidently explaining ingredients, routines, and benefits
  • Support the team in offering personalised advice and building trust with customers
  • Ensure the store consistently reflects the brand's visual merchandising and service standards

Team Support & Leadership

  • Support the Store Manager in motivating, coaching, and developing the store team
  • Lead shifts with confidence, setting the pace and energy on the shop floor
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members, particularly on product knowledge and routines
  • Act as a first point of contact for the team during shifts, resolving issues with professionalism and care

Commercial Performance

  • Support the achievement of store KPIs including sales, ATV, UPT, CRM, and conversion
  • Actively encourage selling of routines, hero products, and seasonal launches
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance and feedback insights to the Store Manager
  • Support in-store events, workshops, and brand activations

Operations & Key Holder Responsibilities

  • Open and close the store in line with company procedures
  • Ensure cash handling, till operations, and end-of-day processes are followed accurately
  • Support stock management including deliveries, replenishment, and stock accuracy
  • Ensure health & safety, security, and operational standards are maintained at all times

Communication & Collaboration

  • Ensure clear communication between store team and management
  • Cascade key messages, promotions, and new product information to the team
  • Provide regular feedback on customer insights, product feedback, and team needs

What you’ll bring

  • Previous retail experience in a supervisory or senior sales role, ideally within beauty, wellness, or premium retail.
  • Strong operational and organisational skills — you love keeping things running like clockwork.
  • Confidence in cash handling, stock control, and health & safety practices.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate a diverse team.
  • A commercial mindset: you understand how operations impact sales and service.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and calmness under pressure.
  • Confident using Excel.
  • Service-minded with excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-focused and satisfaction-driven in every interaction.
  • Flexible and adaptable, always ready to meet evolving store needs.
