Assistant Store Manager - Vision Express
Are you an experienced retail leader looking for your next challenge? We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join Vision Express and play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences, developing colleagues, and driving store performance.
This Assistant Store Manager opportunity is ideal for someone with previous retail leadership experience who is ready to further develop their career in a supportive and customer-focused environment. Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll help lead the team, drive commercial performance, and ensure the store delivers consistently high standards.
What You'll Do
- Support the Store Manager in leading, coaching and developing colleagues
- Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching sessions and on-the-job training
- Drive sales performance through effective KPI management
- Support recruitment, onboarding and colleague engagement activities
- Deliver exceptional customer experiences and service standards
- Maintain operational excellence and compliance across the store
- Lead the shop floor and take responsibility for the store in the Store Manager's absence

What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a supervisor, team leader, deputy manager or Assistant Store Manager
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills
- Experience developing and motivating teams to achieve results
- Good understanding of performance management processes
- Commercial awareness and confidence using KPIs to improve performance
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to support the needs of the business
