Mode Search is supporting a leading luxury jewellery brand with the search for an Assistant Store Manager to join its London team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced luxury retail professional to play a key role in the continued commercial success of the store, combining exceptional client engagement with strong team leadership and operational excellence.

The Maison is currently going through an exciting period of transformation, evolving beyond its traditional positioning within classic fine jewellery and establishing itself more broadly as a leading global jewellery house. As part of this evolution, the brand is expanding its creative and cultural presence through couture and fashion shows, new creative collaborations, global activations and elevated High Jewellery collections.

Based in London, this is a store-based position working closely with and reporting to the Store Director. The Assistant Store Manager will support the day-to-day leadership of the boutique, helping to drive sales performance, develop the team and deliver an outstanding client experience, while ensuring the store consistently operates to the highest standards.

The role

  • Partner with the Store Director to drive sales performance and deliver against the store’s commercial objectives.
  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies across different product categories and client segments, identifying opportunities to grow both existing and new business.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with VIP and high-value clients, delivering a highly personalised approach to clienteling.
  • Analyse daily, weekly and monthly KPIs, translating performance data and trading insights into clear and actionable commercial plans.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor, leading by example and actively contributing to sales and client engagement.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing development of the store team.
  • Coach and motivate team members to achieve individual and collective targets, using regular meetings, feedback and development plans to support performance.
  • Create a collaborative and high-performing store culture where expectations are clear, ideas are encouraged and achievements are recognised.
  • Empower the team to deliver an exceptional standard of service and confidently manage more complex client requirements or situations.
  • Oversee stock levels and inventory accuracy, ensuring the product mix reflects client demand, sales performance and trading trends.
  • Maintain exceptional visual merchandising, housekeeping and store presentation standards at all times.
  • Support the effective day-to-day operation of the store, including cost control, administration and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and contribute to sales reporting and business reviews, providing commercial insights and recommendations to improve performance and operational efficiency.
  • Identify and implement relevant local marketing, clienteling and promotional initiatives to generate traffic and create new opportunities for engagement.
  • Act as an ambassador for the business within the local market, building relationships and developing opportunities to attract new clientele.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the local luxury retail landscape, including competitor activity, client behaviour and wider market trends.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider team to deliver shared objectives and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
