Assistant Store Manager

We are looking for an enthusiastic and commercially focused Assistant Store Manager to join our London music retail showroom.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help lead the store team, drive sales and deliver an exceptional customer experience across the showroom and online channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in achieving sales, profitability and customer service targets.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the store team through coaching and training.
  • Monitor sales, KPIs and stock levels, identifying opportunities to improve performance.
  • Deliver high standards of customer service, product knowledge and demonstrations.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing team development.
  • Maintain excellent store presentation, merchandising and promotional standards.
  • Oversee stock, deliveries, transfers and order fulfilment.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and provide excellent post-sale service.
  • Support online content and B2B/B2C sales opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to support business objectives.
  • Ensure high standards of organisation, communication, health & safety and compliance.

Previous Experience

  • Previous retail leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong sales and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
  • Experience coaching and motivating a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A genuine passion for music and musical equipment.
  • Music retail experience is highly desirable.
