We are looking for an Assistant Structural Engineer to join a growing Building Structures team in Birmingham.

You'll work across new-build, refurbishment, survey and assessment projects across sectors including commercial, residential, education, defence and energy.

The role offers strong technical development and support towards ICE or IStructE chartership.

  • Structural analysis and design under senior supervision.
  • Produce calculations to Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Prepare structural specifications and technical reports.
  • Work with technicians and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attend site visits and support surveys and inspections.
  • Contribute to project deliverables and design work.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Post-graduate building structures experience.
  • Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
  • Experience with steel and concrete design.
  • Knowledge of foundations.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and structural analysis software.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
