Due to continued growth, we're looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor with an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) background or experience to join our commercial team based in Leatherhead.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual who is looking to develop their commercial career while working alongside experienced professionals on high-profile fit out and refurbishment projects.
The Role
Supporting the commercial team, you will assist in the effective financial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with project managers, supply chain partners and senior commercial colleagues, you'll gain exposure to all aspects of quantity surveying within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Assisting with the preparation and management of project budgets and cost plans
- Supporting subcontract procurement, tender evaluations and package recommendations
- Preparing valuations, variations and cost reports
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Assisting with subcontractor account management and payments
- Supporting the preparation of final accounts
- Working closely with operational teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Maintaining accurate project records and reporting information

About You
We're looking for someone who is eager to learn, commercially aware and passionate about building a career within Quantity Surveying.
You'll Ideally Have
- A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Previous experience within a Quantity Surveyor, Assistant Quantity Surveyor or commercial support role
- Exposure to MEP services, building services engineering, fit out or construction projects
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- A proactive attitude and willingness to develop professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other standard IT packages
