Are you looking to step into an established global in-house tax function and broaden your tax career?
Brewer Morris Recruitment is working with a leading multinational group seeking an Assistant Tax Manager to join its London-based tax team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a broad range of tax matters within a large, complex international business, offering significantly more variety than a traditional compliance-focused role.
Working closely with senior tax leadership, you'll play a key role in managing corporate tax compliance, supporting reporting obligations, leading tax projects and partnering with stakeholders across the wider business. You'll also have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills by mentoring and managing junior team members.
The Opportunity

- Lead the annual UK corporation tax compliance process across a large and complex group structure.
- Review tax returns prepared by junior members of the team and prepare more technically challenging filings.
- Support the management of outsourced compliance activities.
- Oversee key tax projects, including corporate tax and international tax compliance initiatives.
- Review and support quarterly and annual tax reporting requirements.
- Research and document technical tax matters and evaluate the impact of legislative changes.
- Drive continuous improvement across the tax function, including the use of technology and automation.
- Build strong relationships with finance, HR and commercial stakeholders across the organisation.
- Support the business on a range of corporate tax and employment tax matters.
- Mentor, develop and provide technical guidance to junior tax professionals.
About You
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:
- ACA, ACCA, CA and/or CTA qualification (or equivalent).
- Strong UK Corporate Tax experience gained in practice or industry.
- A solid technical grounding and an interest in developing broader commercial tax experience.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Experience reviewing the work of others or managing junior team members would be advantageous.
