We are hiring an Assistant Team Manager to work in our Mental Health Team.
As part of an experienced team, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering our service, providing a specialist social work service to Solihull residents who require support due to having a mental health illness. We work closely with our mental health colleagues and are based in an NHS building (The Maple Leaf Centre), from which we run our own duty service.
Together with the Team Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of your team. Though you will have an office base, you are required to work from other locations within the Solihull borough.
You will ensure our services are delivered in a person centred and strengths-based way, to achieve better outcomes for our people, carers and their families.
Supervising and quality assuring the work of staff reporting to you, you will ensure it is carried out in line with good professional practice, legal and directorate requirements and performance standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A professional social work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Substantial post-qualified experience in Adult Social Work services.
- Experience of providing professional supervision to others.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering person-centred working and strength-based practice.
