Role
The World of Interiors is seeking an efficient, well-organised, and enthusiastic Assistant to support the Editor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth, effective operation of the Editor's office within a fast-paced, creative environment. This position requires a candidate who can manage priorities, anticipate needs, and maintain the highest standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
- Calendar & Gatekeeping: Act as the primary gatekeeper for the Editor, managing a complex calendar, prioritising meeting requests, and navigating scheduling conflicts with discretion.
- Office Management: Oversee the day-to-day running of the Editor’s office, including processing expenses, coordinating international and domestic travel arrangements, and managing general administrative duties.
- Editorial & Administrative Support: Provide high-level support for editorial meetings, including documentation, preparation of materials, and follow-ups. Assist with internal and external communications on behalf of the Editor.
- Project & Event Coordination: Assist in pulling together events, projects, and special initiatives for The World of Interiors, ensuring all logistics run seamlessly.
- Liaison: Serve as a key point of contact, liaising effectively with colleagues at all levels, external contributors, and partners with diplomacy and confidence.
- Support Creative Director at Large: Provide support to the Creative Director at Large, including schedule and calendar management, shoot logistics and travel coordination.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in an assistant or executive support role, ideally within the media or publishing industry.
- Organisational Mastery: Meticulous organisational and time-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including a professional telephone manner and the ability to draft clear correspondence.
- Mindset: Proactive, solutions-oriented, and calm under pressure. You possess a "can-do" mentality and the ability to adapt quickly as priorities change. Confidence and enthusiasm balanced by humility and willingness to learn.
- Professionalism: High level of emotional intelligence, sound judgement, and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in G-Suite and general office administrative tools.
