Assistant Trade Development Manager
We are looking for an Assistant Trade Development Manager to support the Trade Manager by overseeing the Short Sea Trade department. You will lead and motivate the team, ensure excellent service delivery, and maintain strong communication across the business and with MSC Geneva.
How you will help us and what you can expect
- Support the Trade Manager to maximise growth opportunities for the Trade
- Organise and hold one to one meetings and team meetings
- Define & review individual performance contracts and in conjunction with MSC standards.
- Develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours of team members
- Build close relationships with origin agents, MSC Geneva Liners & Clients
- Maintain a close working relationship with other parts of the business on behalf of the dept.
- Assist with any reports, statistics, analysis and market research
- Managing meetings to both internal and external audiences
- Ensure training and competency plans are in place for each member of staff and monitor in line with performance development reviews

- Ability to develop and maximise the skills and productivity of an individual and the team
- Management and supervisor of a team
- Ability to influence and implement change in the workplace
- Previous experience of reporting & compiling statistics
- Experience of team development and maximising efficiency and results
- Ability to generate individual commitment and ownership for tasks and functions
- Ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure
