About the Role
Are you an experienced transport professional holding a valid Transport Manager CPC? Looking for a dynamic, growth-focused role where you can make a tangible impact on daily fleet operations?
We are recruiting an Assistant Transport Manager to join a rapidly expanding logistics operation based in West London.
Working closely with the Transport Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing a modern fleet of over 30 vehicles and a team of 55 drivers operating across London. Your Duties will Include;
- Manage daily transport operations to ensure peak efficiency, full fleet compliance, and seamless multi-drop delivery service across London.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of 55 drivers across multiple locations, taking an active role in recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention.
- Maintain strict compliance with Operator Licence requirements, tachograph regulations, vehicle maintenance schedules, and driver safety standards.
- Utilise route planning software and advanced Excel to analyse KPIs, optimise routes, reduce costs, and drive continuous operational improvements.

Experience Required;
- CPC Qualified: Must hold a valid Transport Manager CPC (National or International).
- Background as an Assistant Transport Manager, Transport Supervisor, or similar operational leadership role within a multi-drop distribution environment.
- Deep knowledge of fleet management, tachograph regulations, driver hours, and O-licence compliance.
- Advanced Excel capability with strong data reporting and KPI tracking skills.
- Familiarity with route planning systems (experience with systems such as Podfather is a bonus, though full training will be given).
- Experience within FMCG, food distribution, or temperature-controlled logistics.
